After finishing his education and a 4 year military commitment, Richard started working in the construction industry. After several years of construction experience, he started Phillips Aluminum Company with his wife Judy in 1976 which specialized in Aluminum Canopies. After a few years of providing local Oil Marketers Phillips Aluminum Company expanded to what it is now, in approx. 14 states. Although Richard is still at the helm, he has capable employees that carry on the tradition of quality and service that helped build his company.
Richard has been an airplane pilot since 1972 and enjoys building and flying experimental airplanes. He currently has a Carbon Cub that he built and flies around on his days off. He is also an avid hiker and spends as much time on the trails as he can. Other times are spent with kids and grand kids.
Judy is a native of North Carolina and worked in Human Resources at large corporations before joining her husband Richard in starting Phillips Aluminum with a commitment to pride and integrity. She has been instrumental in the growth of the company over the years by conveying a personal touch to all our customers.
In her spare time she enjoys working with our local school system tutoring kids in reading and math. She also enjoys planning weddings and events at her local church and snow skiing with her grandkids.
Calvin started building canopies during his summer breaks while still in High School and then on through college until he graduated with his degree in business management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2001. After graduation he moved into a sales position at PAC, and in 2009 Calvin sold the first Cree LED for the company and continued in a sell role until 2011. He has since took over all day to day operations and continues to sale all products that the company has to offer. Most importantly he follows the role that the company was founded on, and does the job right from start to finish.
Calvin enjoys spending time with his family and friends and playing golf, fishing, and hunting.
Michael started working with PAC in May of 2007, In just a few short months he became a supervisor for PAC where he Ran a crew installing PAC canopies, in November 2011 he choose to try something new but found himself back with PAC in October of 2012 where he fell back into the leadership roll installing canopies, he has now moved up to assist Calvin with scheduling and operations of our family business and will continue to help PAC make sure all jobs are done correctly from start to finish!
Michael enjoys spending time with his family and friends, he travels all over North and South Carolina playing slowpitch softball, he also enjoys playing golf, riding ATVs, and camping.
Bill went to work in the petroleum equipment business over forty years ago after finishing Columbia Commercial College and attending University Of South Carolina. Bill started selling pumps, tanks, and related equipment, including canopy’s with one of the largest equipment company’s in the East, and has been at it ever since. Bill has been selling canopy’s for 15 years, and has been with PAC for the last nine years. Bill’s experience over the years not only has him in sales, but he is often very involved in site layouts.
Bill loves to spend his off time playing golf, boating, spending time with his family and spoiling his grandkids.
